Beneath the Lighthouse
A tall and swirling tower
points straight into the sky
Vibrant colors and chipped brick
help newborns kick the nest and fly
The birds are perfectly protected
by this beach’s shining light
It guides seafarers to the shore
this marvelous, marvelous sight
But you won’t find The Lighthouse
it is not your path
For beneath The Lighthouse is a tunnel
and you will face its wrath
You can climb with all your might
trying to break free
Escape to the sunlight is not an option
when you’re stuck down here with me
