Children stay awake crying into their pillows
Teen pulling out their hair because of a measure of intelligence
People get beaten just because of who they have sex with
Begging for someone to break that silence

The people who can make a change turn their backs
Because it matters more that theres a period at the end of your sentence
Than it does that people are running away from homes everyone thought were fine
Still nobody breaks the silence

But nobody pays attention to the teens
The ones actually trying to break down that fence
All because of an age gap
