To a place, where I can be who I wanna be,
Nobody, or anybody.
To a place, where I can think the way I want.
Dress the way I want,
Do what I want, feel the ways I want.
Nothing but the swish of the net,
Nothing but desire pulsing through my legs,
Nothing but the sound of my feet, boom, boom, boom,
On the track.
Nothing but the sweet smell of anticipation,
On the field.
Nothing, but everything, all at the same time.
Out here it's different then in those empty rooms.
Where they tell you, everything you should be.
They give you no choices. You may think
You have your own choices.
They give you rules to follow and law to abide.
But out here, it's different.
Out here, you learn for yourself.
All, or nothing.
Out here, it's just you.
And the track ahead of you,
And the last basket just waiting to be made,
And the ball, swooshing into the net on a PK.
I hate when people say 'Oh, it's just a
Game.'
It is SO much more.
Out here, it don't matter either you
Are black or white. Short or tall, fat or
Skinny, gorgeous, or butt ugly.
It. Don't. Matter.
Out here you just lose yourself.
And forget everything, and it just makes this
High, my own drug of desire, not a want; but a need.
Anywhere I want, anytime I want.
And I love because in the end, it only
Boils down to one thing'.
You,
Enough said'
