enjambment poem
Life in Track
Warm up laps --everyone hates them--
Partner stretches--there’s no point--
Running ladders--the coaches hate us--
why do we do it?
Maybe to get in shape,
maybe to make new friends,
maybe because we have to,
but no one enjoys it
The bus rides--boring--
Signing up for events--stressful--
Team uniforms--old and grungy--
Nothing's worse than running hills,
running there and back,
running up and walking down,
the springtime slush--cold and mucky--
Track-- loving it--hating it--doing it anyway
