Dreamworld
Sitting at home, I begin to dream;
dream of a world not ringing with screams.
A place with not suffering, no cares, no lies
not a tear is shed, and nobody dies.
I think of what life just maybe could be
in a world with no lame and none who can't see.
What would happen if we all could win?
There was no murder; there was no sin?
Would we be happy if we found the key
to a life that left us with no sad memories?
Or would we even realize what we'd found on earth?
If life was a paradise would we realize what it was worth?
If we could rid this world of all infection,
would it really, truly create perfection?
To make a Utopia, where would we start?
In changing creation, would we tear it apart?
Is it really safe to try and change
the wheel of life that God has arranged?
Or should we just wait until we arrive
to that paradise waiting for us in the sky?
Should we love and care and fix what we can,
but leave the blueprint of life safe in God's hands?
I think that one day we'll get our dreamworld.
But for now let's just sit and watch the present unfold.
