Life is in Your Imagination Sestina

The world is just your playground
The sidewalk is really a blank canvas
Cars are actually grounded spaceships
Every memory is a mental book
Life is an adventure
Nothing is as it seems

You can take a ride in a spaceship
And soar through the brilliant white pages of a book
You could even paint a picture of a playground
And though it just seems
Like a piece of canvas
It is really an undiscovered adventure

Even if you are too old…or so it seems
Be a kid again and swing from the monkey bars in a playground
Take chances, scrape your knees even though they may be more delicate than canvas
It is just part of your adventure
From when you wrote yourself into a fantasy book
Filled with many a fire breathing dragon and blasting spaceships

Paint your life in vivid colors on a taut piece of canvas
Is this really that crazy of an adventure?
Maybe you could write this all down in a book
But could you truly portray it as it seems?
Or would you make yourself a cosmonaut in a spaceship?
Or an innocent little child in a huge playground?

It is all just chronicled pain and joy in a book
Memories from inside a spaceship
Miniscule trips that you may call an adventure
Rocking on swings in a playground
That is the way it seems
Just like when you painted it on a canvas

Life is just another adventure
Longer than any philosophy book
But more amusing than gliding down a slide on a playground
Because, maybe, everything is as it seems

This will certify that the above work is completely original

It's never to late, if it weren't for the last minute many things would never get done!

This is a really good poem. It really portrays imagination well and having fun. I love it!
