Why does a word strike through my heart
The way that no knife does
And why does music bring to life
A story with no buzz?
Why does color give texture to
Ideas with no device
And why do smells make me taste things
Unlike any spice?
Why do people moan and cry when
Beauty is clear to see
And why does this earth seem so bland
To everyone but me?
