The Man
Up, down, up, down,
Conversations like a roller coaster
We’re getting closer to one another.
He’s the bread I’m the toaster
We go together like ketchup and mustard.
What’s love without the man?
Up, down, up, down,
Two words to describe us
He thinks how can I trust her
But what’s us without the trust?
What’s rain without puddles?
What’s the storm without a rainbow?
What’s love without the man?
Up, down, up, down,
This is a long solid, rocky road.
2 years and more,
Lately he’s always trying to walk out the door
Screaming and fighting
His nasty words throw me to the floor; they have a grip on my heart.
But what’s love without the man?
Up, down, up, down,
He’s worth every second of my time
Although he called me worthless,
He’s also called me a dime.
Words are just words
Where as my heart spells out his name
Because what’s love without the man?
Up, down, up, down,
Our love is no joke.
My lil punk.
Love is nothing without the man.
