I believe in the importance of life,
The good that comes with bad,
The reward from having patience,
The wise decisions of a sound mind,
The hope that remains when all seems lost,
Ambition.
Love.
Purity.
But I don’t believe in the hate that strife makers’ stir up between friends and family.
I believe in the intelligence of the human race.
I believe in the innocence of a child.
I believe in the impression that words can cause.

And I believe in the protecting of those younger, weaker, and otherwise ill.

The author's comments:
I originally wote this piece as a creed for my english teacher. She is really into getting the whole class into writting more which is just up my alley because I love to write.
When she gave us the rubric and told us to write about what we believe in I didn't find it as easy as I would think. Sometimes I really know what I believe in, but it is on the other hand hard to put your beliefs into words. I finally put down onto this piece that you have read what I truly do believe in, and what I believe is the most important to me as a person.

Great poem!!! I believe in these same things, too. I can see the hard work you've put into this; it seems so real. Keep writing:)
