what it was
i don’t know what it was
that really pulled me in
was it the smell of your hair or
the curve of your chin?
the way you hold doors
and always say good night
your shiny dark hair
and eyes so bright
your skin with stubble that tickles my cheek
and smile like Adonis that makes me so weak
the way you smell nice and soft like boy
the way your voice deepens with sorrow and joy
the things you say and things you never do
the way you love me and the way i love you
