One Winter Day
Angels sung as I gazed into your eyes
Trumpets played as we said our ties
The harmonious laughter of kids at play
And the chatter of old folk during the day
These are the things I remember
About that cold winter day in December
But one thing that sticks out the most
Is when I drove from coast to coast
Just to gaze into your eyes one last time
Just to feel that wonderful chill run down my spine
Just to see the most beautiful smile
Made me the happiest I’ve been in a while
