A snowy run
My legs ache
like a snake tightly wrapped around my leg,
its long, scaly body squeezing
with every step I take.
Its exhausting fun, running,
one step after another.
Trudging through the shiny snow
and staring at the icy blue sky
and falling snow flakes dances its way on to my face.
I am willingly forced to run,
I feel the sweat
drip down my face, and
I shake my head back and forth
before the sweat freezes to
to my moist cheek.
Slowly, I finished my run.
Tired the rest of the day, I sat,
ate, slept and relaxed. A snow storm
came in towards the night,
and a runner comes marching by
I feel the snake tighten again
as I remember what I have to do.
