I stand in a quiet, empty hallway,
the murmurs from televisions,
blare loudly from each room.
However, other sounds seem to fill my ear.
The sounds of people suffering.
The constant, deafening coughs.
The uneasy, irregular breathing,
of people struggling to do what I take for granted, everyday.

The strong, sterile hospital smell,
overwhelms my nose.

The air around me feels heavy and damp.

To my right, I see a large table,
Filled with individual orange pharmacy bottles,
containing various medicine pills.
To think that these little meaning less pills,
Are their only chances of survival.

These observations overwhelm me,
and I hopelessly stand there,
unable to help any of them.
