Untitled
A drop in a river makes not for a rainstorm
A wind from the east a hurricane does not make
The tears of an angel can not flood a world
But destroyed it may be by the love for a girl
Volcanoes erupt and wildfires destroy
This, despite the terror, can not shatter a life
Rather, one loses their very essence of being,
The one-way love lacerating as a knife
Keep close a heart, for to let it stray is death
Confine it to one’s own self with your every breath
To avoid the pain of love is to live without trouble
To give in is to transform existence to rubble
