Flying in the bright blue sky,
A hawk is soaring, way up high.
Suddenly it’s diving down,
Plummeting straight towards the ground.
It’s falling at outrageous speeds,
Until it opens up its wings.
Now it’s searching for its prey,
It appears that it has run away.
Then it sees the little vole
Scampering towards a tiny hole.
The hawk picks up speed only inches away,
But the vole will live another day.
The talons close around the air,
Because the vole is no longer there.
