Clean Turned Unclean
It used to be from sea to shining sea
We truly had her best interest at heart
But now the smokestacks are all we see
How have we managed to turn her tart?
We all are responsible for this theft
Cutting her down to bite-size pieces
Rarely anything will be left
Wasted on our own selfish reasons
The Earths perfection we must protect
Because in us it holds its trust
For too long now her soul has wept
Restore in the worlds trust we must
Nature’s perfection is like no other
This too mankind has achieved to smother
