Wet Graves
Deep down below the invisible surface,
Beneath the edge of light,
Farther than the ends of life,
Below in a cold gray tomb.
Restless vulture sleeps alone,
Buried by a ship.
Dropped in caverns
Beneath which are lit
Here lies the sailor, and wife,
Buried in darkness all though the night.
But when the sky clears
And all is a bright
She echoes quite softly
A star in the night,
Brightening the sea man.
Along with his dead bird,
Alone and sleeping in the bright of the night.
