Big Yellow Bus
Early morning.
Cars rumble by.
Big kids stare off. While little kids try to keep their hands and feet still.
But they jump up and down like little bunnies for multiplication,
Tempera paints,
New friends,
And a new classroom.
All wait next to the tall trees and the bright green grass.
And the smell of the foggy air.
The big yellow bus number 309,
Headlights shining so bright halts, to a stop.
Opens the door,
Kids march toward it and climb on, searching for a spot next to their friends.
Conversation and giggles fill,
The big yellow bus.
