Coming upon winter
Colors fading, trees growing bare,
People shivering everywhere.
Waiting for the first fleck of snow,
Temperatures plummeting very low.
As Christmas is coming down upon the city,
The children are getting very jittery.
For their new Christmas toy twist,
Better not be on Santa’s naughty list!
As November dies and December is born,
We must stow away all of that harvest corn.
People starting to catch a shiver,
Waiting, waiting, coming upon winter.
