Un Poeme D'Amour

When I think of your love,
My heart skips a beat,
And gets to pat-pat-patting,
Like feet in a race,
It accelerates its pace, with such haste,
That I turn red in the face.
If I were to lose you, I would be laced with the taste of disgrace,
As if you had put me in my place,
And made me so base.
That being the case,
I’ll do everything I can to keep you,
I’ll be true,
Like the blue moon, high in the sky,
I’ll be joyful, like a bird that can fly,
I’ll break free from these worldly bonds that hold me,
And your one true lover I will always be.
