Favorite Quote:
10.
I am a princess, all girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics. Even if they dress in rags, even if they aren't pretty or smart or young. They're still princesses, all of us." -Frances Hodgeson Burnett, A Little Princess
or
1.
Live in the present, remember the past and fear not the future, for it doesn't exist and never shall. There is only now." _Christopher Paolini, Eldest

Words
Words hold power
Words
They can make you feel better or lower

Words are great
But, on the wrong lips
They can not come out straight
And, someone’s pride, strips

Words are immense
If they cannot be controlled
They can be taken in the wrong sense
Even if they aren’t bellowed

Words
Words
Words
Words

Stop with all the misuse
Start the respect
Stop causing issues
Because, with crimes, words are always the suspect

Your words are the worst, though
They throw me around
Under my skin, they burrow
And leave me bloodied and bound

Even when you’re words are nice and in song
On they radio, they lie
You’re wrong
Because you’re just some silly guy

Your sung words may be sweet
But they are lies and they hurt
Being deaf would be a treat
So I couldn’t hear all the sweet dirt

Words
Words
Words
Words

Stop the sweet
Stop the mean
Stop my heartbeat
I am only fifteen!

I’m sick
Sick of the words
That tear apart this poor chick
And throw away her innards

I beg
I plead
To take away the memories I dredge
And go along with the words that bloodied

Words
Words
Words
Words

Dark words
Terrible words
Darn words
Heart-wrenching words

Their out to get me and take me away
To the far off land of suffering and pain
For all eternity to stay
For their own gain

Save me now
Before they take me
Please don’t allow
The massacre of this young girl you see

Take back your words
Tell me you love me
Turn her thoughts upward
Tell her of her beauty

Tell her she is all you want
Don’t let her be torn apart
By those words that taunt
Give her back her heart

Fix her
Lift her
Love her
Take her

She loves you
And you know it
It is all true
But she has been badly hit

You can fix her
You can save me
Kill the author
Of this wretched story

Kill the author
And write a better story
One where you two are happier
One less gory

Write new words

Words
Words
Words
Words

Fix the words
Write new words
Put back together the words
Shatter the old words

Fix it
Fix her
New story
New girl

No more sadness
No more lies
This story must have that happily-ever-after-ness
With happy sighs

The thing about words is true but the poem itself was based on a character.

This is SO true. Words hold so much power. Nicely written! :)
