These tears won't move time
as they haven't moved your heart
nor changed your mind.
And time won't heal these wounds
A white picket fence and silken bed
are treacherous as a serpent's croon.

Have you ever awoken one morning to find only the shell of the one who's shared your bed, lying next to you? Ever opened your eyes just wide enough to see everything before you focus into carefully placed lies? If the reality is hurtful then the aftermath is unforgiving. Sometimes, time itself is just not enough.
