Hopeless Faces of Darfur
Unsupported by the rest of the world
This present day Holocaust massacre
Leaves frightened bodies lying curled
Innocent children are being killed
While we sleep comfortably in our beds
Their young lives have not yet been fulfilled
Now their bodies are diffusing shades of red
Hear the women who have cried
See the men who have passed
This isn’t the first genocide
It’s certainly not the last
Over two million have been displaced
And it all happened in such haste.
