Don’t Lose Yourself
There you are, feeling confused and alone,
Your friends say you don’t fit in.
Your parents tell you that you must always remember where you came from,
Don’t lose yourself, to the power of being influenced.
Stop pretending to be something you are not,
Listen to yourself
Who are you? What do you plan to do with yourself?
Everyone calls you stupid, lost, weird
Don’t lose yourself, remember where you come from.
You say no one loves you, no one cares,
But, someone out there is waiting for you,
Don’t give up, try harder,
Look for your future, dig for the truth,
Don’t lose yourself, even if all the turns you make seem to be wrong.
Don’t try to be someone you are not,
Don’t listen to everything that’s said about you,
Know who you are and learn to live with it,
Learn to respect, understand,
Don’t lose yourself, to the unknown.
There is a way out of everything,
Try harder, don’t give up,
Listen to your conscience, right from wrong,
You know what should be done,
Don’t lose yourself, find what you are meant to be.
