The Storm
As I sit in my house starring out into the storm, I see you.
As the lightning illuminates the dark night, there you are.
But as soon as you're there, you're gone.
I can't see you anymore.
I am starring again into the darkness
... waiting ...
I can hear my heart beating in my head with every crash of thunder,
LIGHTNING!
And there you are, closer than before.
I can almost feel your warmth through my window in my room, but I'm freezing.
Now you're lost in the darkness once again.
Even though I can't see you,
I feel you.
I feel you standing there outside my window.
If only I could see you, but you're not there.
You never were.
