Clarity
Through the dark of my mind
I cannot see where I am going.
An open door shows me memories long forgotten.
The dark is like nothing else,
A Black so Black,
like a pool of ink spilt in white paper.
No light, but I can hear the sounds of times long ago.
The memories haunt me, like visions of the past, but there are no faces.
like I can no longer see your face,
as hard as I try it eludes me,
like a drop of Blood on a red floor.
My memories are all I have of you,
your Voice, your Kiss, your back as you walked away that last time.
And the Light in your room, as I drive away.
I do not know where I am going
Anywhere to give me Some clarity.
