My Prison
I’ve built myself a prison,
To house my greatest fears.
I’ve stayed away from it,
Haven’t seen it in many years.
To face my biggest fears,
I sought the prison out.
But when I finally found it,
I forgot what it was about.
This prison that I built
I placed myself inside
and all I’ve ended up doing,
Is making a place to hide
I’m hiding from the world,
not trusting anyone.
Hidden for so long,
Not even seeing the sun.
I’m tired of the pain,
and don’t want to go on.
I just want a little peace,
and for people to be gone.
