Old One Inside Me
In every little girl there is an old woman.
In every little boy, an old man.
Just waiting to come out.
When the child lies dormant,
And wisdom resides.
I want to find that old woman.
Not too soon, not too late.
To tap into her knowledge, strength, and faith.
While I grow I wonder...
What would she do now?
Turn left, right, turn around?
Or take in what surrounds?
I know that she's there,
And continue to pray,
That I'll make the choices
To become old one day.
