A Child's Innocent Prayer
Dear God,
Tonight instead of watching, the normal Saturday
cartoons.
I sat down beside mommy and we watched the news.
This little boy got really sad and brought a gun to
school.
He shot a bunch of students and some teachers too.
They said that he'd been bullied; though I don't know
what that means.
But I know it must be bad, 'cause it made him do those
things.
Then my mommy grabbed my hand and squeezed it really
tight.
When I looked up at her, tears were falling from her
eyes.
I hate to see my mommy cry, I hate to see her sad.
So God, I need your help and I need it really bad.
I know that this is really big, so it's the only thing
I ask.
Make those mommies not so sad, and bring their
children back.
Amen.
