My Sidekick
I'm sitting here in short shorts and
Your t-shirt
Missing you every second since you left
I cross the hall to your room every
Single day
Still hoping you'll be there
But all I find is your empty bed and
Clothes left on the floor
Why don't you come around anymore?
Are you happy now that you've left me behind,
To deal with all this; without you
It all seems weird here, alone and
I knew this separation was inevitable
But I never imagined a pain like this
I'm going through the motions mechanically
Wondering what you'd think if you saw me like this
Pretending to sleep; crying after the smallest of fights
I wish I had a comfort zone here; in this house
I don't of course, never did
This isn't my home. Just some house
I miss my past; our past
I'm so stressed and forced in different
Directions to understand different sides
I'm playing the judge here and
I really don't know why
I cant even serve justice inside my own head
Let alone their disputes too
Come home sometime
Take me away from here
be my escape
My sidekick
Rescue me from this krytonite that was
Once my life
