Broken China Vase

I feel like our little family
Is a shattered china vase
Something that can't be fixed;
Pieces gone you can't replace

You can see someone tried to fix
The damage that was done
Glue the pieces back together
To undue what has been done

But no matter how much glue
You slather on those pieces
The chance of us being like we
Were before never increases

We will always have some cracks
That you just can not repair,
Some holes without a fragment
That will fit perfectly there

But we have gotten stronger,
Our porcelain harder to break
Because we have felt the burn
That comes with cruel heartache
