Darkness
He comes to you while you sleep.
He comes to you in your dreams.
He brings thought of fear in your head
He will not stop until your dead.
Your breath quickens you start to choke
Before you know he has cut your throat.
You look into the face of the man
Who has killed you where you stand.
The devil grins as he comes to you.
He has now come to collect his due.
There is blood on the bed, on the floor
You start to grow weaker until no more.
You wait to die on your dying bed
As the reaper has come to take your head.
You cannot stop it, its clear as day
As the darkness comes to take you away.
You can’t stop it, the fear in your head
For the darkness won’t stop until your dead.
You can’t stop it, for it can’t be swayed,
May God have mercy for today is your final day.
