Favorite Quote:
"The World is but a canvas to our imaginations."-Henry David Thoreau

My arms are spread above me,
and how my brilliance aims
to meet my enemies midpoint,
reverse their downward claims.
And, God, I'd love to see you there,
and man, I'd love to fly,
but for now I'll tread lightly and
leave that to the creatures of the sky.

Now my arms are outstretched before me,
my soul is now equipped
with a will to explore everything...
but look how my mind has slipped!
Cause I'd soon not take a caravan
I'd let myself be free,
But as much as I'd love to swim,
it's best left to the creatures of the sea.

And now my arms are folded,
I am at equilibrium, at bay.
I have reached a sense of mom and dad
and turned the tides of day.
Because I know I'd love to fly,
and roam the great blue sea.
But now I've met my maker and
there's no better place to be.

This is a spiritual poem. I am writing about being at one with the Earth.
