Perfect Water
Perfect Water
(Enchanted Island, 1978, by Millard Sheets)
Islands that have been surrounded by ice their whole life.
Bones being held captive under the frozen water.
Now all of the ice has ventured off into the distance,
all being left behind is the mystic teal blue water.
White Seagulls soaring above water, scavenging for a meal.
Tropical fish scurrying away to find shelter,
the mysteries that such an open view can give.
The sun rising again over the crater of the volcano,
is giving light to all of the life found near.
Then the green moss was the second to climb the mountain,
the bones resting on the rock being the first to climb.
