We were all busy getting ready for our graduation day
That one moment in our lives which doesn’t fade away
Ready to head to LHS for our grad practice
Last thing we had on our lists
Waited in the gym for a couple of minutes
Hoping it would be quick and got through with it
Packed up the chairs and got out
Rode on charter buses to go downtown
Stood around and just chattered
Just wanted to start walking that’s all that mattered
After all of us got seated people proceeded
It felt like all of us sat in a pool that was heated
All of us in a row stood up one by one
We felt excited when people screamed our names
All of us felt anxious to walk across the stage
Even though the ceremony ran too long
It feels good to know that we are done
Its like fighting a war and we just won
We shared laughter and cried tears
We made history and memories
I tried my best not to cry
It is hard to say goodbye
All of us accomplished all 4 years
Class of 2009 is finally here
