Far Beyond Shameful
Why must this world be so full of hate
most people don’t care, until it’s too late
The blood and tears that some have shed
all of this, everyone dreads
Silenced pleads and overwhelming fear
did you know, this happens every year
Certain colors of skin, or the way we look
that is no excuse, but unfortunately some are let off the hook
Equality and peace is not well known
Just because your a preferred color, does not mean you sit on a throne
We travel far to the land of freedom
once we enter our voices are taken, but we seriously need them
discrimination and prejudice is what we know
As for the land of opportunity and justice, that is embarrassing to show
So I ask again, why must this world be so full of hate
Since before the 50 states, it’s been this way, and that is the complete opposite of great

I wrote this in dedication to everyone who has been discriminated against because of the color of their skin, for their choice in religion, for how they are wrongfully perceived by society. I want to live in a world where everyone gets along despite their appearance, race, or gender. I want everyone to be at peace with each other. No more discrimination, no more prejudice, no more hate.
