West Virginia
The winter trees glistened
With bright
Gleaming colors
As though it were autumn
The mountains were ablaze
In fiery light
Every inch soaking up
The golden sun
It was a sweet kiss of warmth
A blanket that chased away
The winters chill
A hug
That held the state
For a sunset that
Cannot wait
Gracefully, now
It sinks beyond the earth
Making blind of my surroundings
Lost in the
Beauty of West Virginia
