"Poetry and art are when you take decades of thought and condense it into a nifty little portable carrying case that people can see and go 'Oooh, Ahh'... and then forget about it. But what does it matter, so long as YOU remember it?" ~ Bela

Here I find
that time does fly,
and the world is more
than meets the eye.

But who am I
but a mirror of you?
an echo of what
you already knew?

We are cogs
and we are gears
of a single "verse",
the clock of years.

And ever-turning
oiled machine
that tolls the hours
of wake and dream.

"Ever Turning
Constantly"
will surely stop
eventually.

The ravening
eternitiy,
endless not
and never free

will come upon
the hour twelve
and all will hear
the final bell.

The repetition
of the time
in a single clock
called "Verse".

Thankyou very much, I really appreciate that. I'm a really big fan of nursury rhymes, I love how they stick in your head, giving you all the time in the world to think about them, rather than just the time you're reading them. And, I guess I try to do the same with my own work. I'll definitely be sure to check out your work, I look forward to it. =D

It's quite impressive, your ability to rhyme without making it cheesy :) Too often do teens damage the quality of their poetry by trying too hard to rhyme. I, for one, cannot rhyme so well, so I stick to free verse. However you should keep it up :) Check out my poetry/art at some point

I like it. It has its own rambling, thoughtful style.
