My father tells me no and says it's not right,
For you to be the man I hold dearly and tight.
He knows little about you and the love we share,
Or maybe it's the fact he simply doesn't care.
The fear he bestows in me doesn't stand a chance,
Against the love I have for you given any circumstance.
I love you for you and you the same for me,
He should just do us all a favor and let us be.
