A Nature Walk
The spring air tastes fresh and pure
Carrying the sweet scent of cinnamon rolls
From someone’s kitchen
The leafless branches reach out
To the cloudless blue sky
Bright and warming, the sun shines down
Competing with the chilly morning breeze
Shadows dapple the cracked sidewalk
Under my feet, curled leaves crunch
Leftovers from last fall
Dandelions begin to poke out of the ground
A sure sign that spring is here
Walking with friends
Talking and laughing
With birds chirping overhead
Wonder is all around
If you just stop to enjoy it
