Industrial Giants
I hear the misery that rang so long ago
I feel the pain of my brothers before
Our industry replacing dungeons down below
Paper obituaries replacing forgotten lore
I see now the smokestacks in the sky
Are the dungeons the kingdom once feared
This steel trap coffin where I lie
Makes the end seem sooner than appeared
Steeland smoke, the nails to my cross
Time moves forward as we step back
Trying to find other sheep who are lost
Always fearing the fire-breathing smokestacks
