Silence
Tick, tock, the clock goes on.
But the clock never does stop ticking.
For it knows that it is needed
To keep this world kicking.
Oh! How the clock wishes to rest.
But it continues to keep itself clicking.
Lake, river, sea, ocean;
The waves move, forever in motion.
Trapping, crushing, suffocating;
Forever lost, your body waiting.
Deeper, deeper, deeper yet;
Pulled beneath, you begin to forget.
Where everything is nothing, you will find me.
Where emptiness is all you see;
Not a person in sight.
Is that a blessing or plight?
Unbeknownst to you, it is my fate,
To fall through endless space with no escape.
