Some Beautiful
Some beauty is only skin-deep.
It can never reach in
and beautify your heart.
It is only a facade, a mask, a charade
marking you from the rest.
Your heart could be ugly,
but your face wouldn't know.
Adorned with glossy blonde curls
that shine with all the colors of the rainbow.
And bedecked with sparkling eyes
that glance with sinister beauty.
And a perfect Graecian nose
without blemish or flaw.
A defining chin,
a slender brow,
a ballerina's gait,
a high chin,
and a royal air.
You would be dismissed as angelic,
without a glance inside your heart.
What a sad world it is, that when statuesque, what is deep inside is not examined as thoroughly.
I prefer to measure beauty by actions and character,
for that is what defines a person beyond anything.
