Suffering
I thought I was over it,
this feeling of dread,
but the sad thoughts and feelings
won’t erase from my head.
I’ll keep faking my smile
day after day
too afraid to end it,
this game of life we all play.
I’ll hide in my music,
hide in my books,
keep emotions inside,
and hide from their looks.
Try to forget their judgments,
keep faith in my friends
and hope one day it’ll leave me,
and the suffering will end.
