Reading has a very important impact on how our world works. It is a very common form of how we communicate Without reading we would not be able to communicate. We could not even speak if reading wasn't developed. Reading is a very important skill to have and makes a big impact on how our world works.

Without reading, I couldn't navigate where to go using signs or maps. Signs, like road signs, store signs or any other sign is a big way to tell where I am going. Without reading I couldn't tell what the sign says. Maps can tell exactly where I am, and if I couldn’t read the place I am in, I couldn't be able to tell exactly where I am.

If we could not read, we could not read books, newspapers or use a computer. Books are used for stories or information, newspapers are a way to see what is going on around us. Computers can do a little bit of both. If I could not read, these things would be a struggle. It would be a struggle because I wouldn't know what is going on around me when reading newspapers. With books, fiction expands creativity and information wouldn't be retained if I could not read.

If I could not read, I could not communicate with others. Reading is a big way to communicate. weather it's by mail or e-mail. Communicating at all would be tricky to do if I did not know how to read. Mailing people wouldn't work if I didn't know how to read, because you wouldn't even know how to write, and it's the same with e-mail.

I also wouldn't know what is going on around me, I wouldn't be nearly as creative and I would not have the ability to communicate with others. The world would not be the way it is now without the ability to read.
