Sitting all around in the circle. All together. This isn’t one moment. This is several.
Everyday we file in, in groups, in couples, one by one. We find a seat and set our bags and notebooks, pens and pencils on the floor or in our laps.
Time to observate. The sound of keys and scratches fills the room.
Time’s up!
We read a story. Sarah C. Columns. We discuss them. Write down things we can do to better our writing. Tips. Things we should read.
I look around the room. All these different faces from all these different places. We all have different ways we talk and dress and write. But we all have one thing in common.
Passion.
I can see the passion in these people’s eyes. And it fills me with joy.
