We are starving for our own celebrity
I recently came across a very valid point that a family member raised and I found myself trying to justify a situation that preached ignorance. The media seems to be throwing a blind eye to problems that the world is facing and rather focusing on celebrity weddings, exposing celebrity sightings. The amount of money used to finance these irrelevant events could rather be used to feed the children bearing hunger in Somalia. It is selfish of us to feud such vain campaigns while the world around us faces dilemmas of fatal proportions. Yes a wedding is a special event in one's life but should not take presidency over life consuming issues. No child going hungry should fall second to a celebrity sighting!
