The Deadly Drink
Almost everyone has given into the deliciousness of these carbonated soft drinks, but do we really know the dangerous chemicals we’re consuming?
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Americans consumed 15 billions of soda in 2000. Drinking one soda a day could cause Americans to gain 15 pounds a year! Soda weakens bones, causes tooth decay, and is loaded with sugar and caffeine that it provides no nutritional value.
When asked about drinking soda Caitlin, sophomore, said, “Nope, I feel guilty when I drink soda. Especially diet soda… my mom says it has bad sugars.”
Fellow sophomore, Molly disagreed. “I love Mountain Dew, Fresca, and Mellow Yellow. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s all I do.”
