Grandpa
I admire my Grandpa a lot. He shows me a lot of stuff. He treats me really good too, He treats me better than any other grandkid.
My Grandpa is the best. His name is Thomas Lecher, but we all call him Tom. He is very good at everything. He is very good at electrical stuff. He wired and built his house and all his children’s houses to, (and that’s 11 houses). He is very smart. His dad was the same way with the electrical and building skills. He built a cabin back behind my house for his grandchildren. He always allows me to have parties down there and stay the night down there. He put a couch and bunk beds in it so we could sleep on them. It has spiral stairs and a deck with a porch swing. It also, has a built in fire place to heat it in the winter. There is a table with a lamp on it, so you can store all your bags or whatever you want on it.
My Grandpa had 30,000 chickens when my dad was a kid. He made them gather eggs after school and it took all night to do. He had them until they weren’t worth anything and he was losing money. Then he bought a sawmill and then Lechers Sawmill went into business and it is still making money today and he still has his grandkids and his kids working there. He grew up in Greensburg and lived there till he was like 20 then he married my Grandma and they moved to St. Mary’s and they had 11 kids.
My Grandpa can be nice and mean. He has a pool and I always go swimming in it and one day a kept jumping in and in and splashed half the water out. Then he got mad and yelled at me and said if im going to be jumping get out. Then another time he got mad at me was when I had
Lecher 2
a party and I was riding my four-wheeler at 3 in the morning and he got really, really, really mad. Their was only one other time he got mad at me and it was when he asked me to do something and I had to go somewhere and their was 12 bundle of 2x4 s to edge and I got 5 done and I left then he came to my house to see were I went and then when I got back I went and finished them up to make him happy and not mad at me. He gets mad at my dad a lot. My dad always has problems with our water system and ever time he calls my Grandpa to help us and he get mad ever time. He’s also nice because each year at Christmas he gives all his grand kids $20 and on there birthdays they get $10 and he has like 40 Grandkids. Then he gives all his kids like $500 -$1,000 dollars each year on Christmas and he has 11 kids.
I think my grandpa is a wonderful person to be around and to talk to when he’s inn a good mood, but if he’s not in a good mood that’s a whole different story. He is very kind and he is very very nice to every one. I admire him ever day and I hope to grow up to know as much as he does and be able to do as much as him.
