She sits in silence. Sadness spreads through her body like a disease that the jovial voices of the others around her cannot cure. In her solitary world, she sits alone; her only companion is the melody sounding in her ears. The gossip does not interest her; nor do the life stories being told. The loneliness that she feels is overwhelming and chills her to the core. What she wants; what she needs; is a warm embrace from him. What she will not get, is just that.
